                Educational Informatization Technology Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education

                Educational Informatization Technology Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of P. R. C (hereinafter referred to as the “Center”) was establish upon approval in 2006, and passed the acceptance in 2009. During its development, a wide variety of support has been provided by Central China Normal University, such as talent team construction and research facilities improvement.

                Aiming to satisfy the needs of research, technological development and engineering, Center has completed 29 million investment (including fixed assets investment of more than 19 million yuan), built a laboratory and a pilot test &achievements transformation base with an area of 6000 square meters, and also constructed one R&D platform for digital intelligent learning as well as resource sharing and service.

                During the construction period, Center has formed and strengthened six research directions such as intelligent learning, and made a great breakthrough in key technologies such as resource sharing and service, online education, intelligent learning, and public service architecture. In recent years, Center hasundertakenmore than 40 national/provincial -level research projects in the field of educational information technology, submitted 4 national strategic plans/reports, established 14 international/domestic standards for educational information technology, applied more than 20 invention patents and software copyrights, published 10 books, and won 2 provincial/ministerial-level awards. Furthermore, Center has developed more than 20 educational information technology products with proprietary intellectual property rights, such as real-time classroom platform and online examination system.

                Trough technological innovation as well as scientific and technological achievements transformation, Center has developed a benign operation mode with self-development capability, promoted both educational resource sharing and distance educational public service system construction, and led the development of China’s education industry. Center’s research achievements and training programs have been popularized to many provinces/cities in China, such as Xinjiang, Ningxia and Hubei.

                Center has established an efficient management system and operating mechanism thatsuit its own development. To specify, Center has formed a high-qualified management team, developed an operating mechanism that combines well-defined power and responsibility, win-win cooperation, and benefit sharing, and established strategic cooperative partnerships with relevant research institutions and application organizations around the world. Led by academicians, Center has gathered and cultivated an innovative professional research and service team, and trained a batch of outstanding specialized talents.
